The Motorola XT460 licence free two way radio broadcasting on PMR446 frequencies offering a cost effective communications solution for your business, replacing the extremely popular XTNi model, the XT420 is regarded as high end walkie talkie aimed at professional use, built to withstand the harshest environments meeting military standards 810 C, D, E, F and G being both dust and water proof with an IP55 Rating enabling the radios to go much further than just the traditional walkie talkie. With outstanding battery life of around 20 hours and having an antimicrobial coating these radios are built to last having been tested by Motorola to have an average life cycle of 5 years of continual use giving you outstanding value for money.

Customer Programming Software (CPS)
HTML-based CPS is easy to use and works with any computer browser. Interchangeable profiles with the XTNi Series makes it easy to add XT400 Series radios to your existing radio fleet (CPS is available as free download. Separate programming cable required.)
Accessories
XT400 Series radios come with a carry holster with a swivel belt clip as standard, allowing you to rotate the radio to fit comfortably. You can also re-use XTNi audio accessories for flexible and dependable performance.
Radio Licensing Information
Licence-free radios
Non licensed radios are a cheaper alternative to licensed radios and can only have a power output of 0.5 watts giving them a fairly small range.
Licence-free radios can be used in the work place and for personal use, ideally where minimal coverage is needed, within small buildings where users are communicating in a close range.
Examples where these radios can be used effectively include smaller schools and construction sites, warehouses, hospitality venues and independent retail businesses.
For leisure they can be ideal for communicating between friends and family while camping and skiing, or if you are at a leisure park or hiking.
All PMR446 radios use the same eight channels. If there are a high number of users in a given area (cities and other built up areas) frequencies become extremely congested leading to interference on the channels, although usually there are multiple channels to select in order to find a clearer channel.
